This adornment for home and sanctuary has been woven together with deeply held intentions, all elements have been collected with deepest reverence.
The silent flight of an owl through darkness symbolizes stealthy movement between worlds helping you approach the spiritual plane without disturbance. Owls have long been beacons of wisdom with a profound connection to intelligence. Guidance through times of obscurity or transformation, seeing through darkness. They are a symbol of intuitive knowledge and perspective; to view situations from a higher vantage point. Guiding us to trust our other senses, our inner knowing. Owls are also vigilant, a protective spirit watching over us during times of unknown, this powerful spirit guide also teaches us contemplation and adaption.
Antique key- amulet of the traveler both physical and metaphysically. For protection, knowledge and access to the unseen, to the liminal. Removal of blocks, opening doors and pathways and gaining knowledge.
Paired with a large clear quartz point that represents light, your inner compass, brining with it the amplification of energy of the objects around it and intentions for spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical purposes. The entire piece is connected and held with knots made of hemp cord. Knots serve as protective symbols, offering spiritual safety while navigating life's uncertainties and transformative moments. Each knot tied forms a spiritual shield entwining resilience. Knots are among the oldest human inventions. Before writing, people tied knots to mark time, track trade, and store memory. form of data recording, while sailors and weavers across cultures developed intricate knots to bind, carry, and protect. In folk traditions, knots often carried magical meaning. Celtic and Norse cultures used knotwork in charms and jewelry to represent eternity, protection, and the cycles of life. Seafaring cultures tied knots for luck, weather magic, and safe passage.
I have also incorporated beautiful beads made from Australian Murray River clay. Made by artist Madeline King many moons ago. These beads, I have found embody little earth spirits.
Along with clay and brass beads from Africa, and found shells from a place that I hold scared and magickal.
At the top of this piece, holding all elements together is Deer antler. Deer creates a connection to our heart, representing ambition, will, and inspiration. Deer is steady, grounded, graceful, even under threat. A powerful reminder storms shall pass.
