What is a Talisman? - A talisman is an object that someone believes holds magical properties that provide particular power, energy, and specific benefits to the possessor.
How a talisman came into being was out of a necessity to have protective and fortuitous spirits at your side exactly when you needed them. As this was a Shaman or Wise/Medicine woman's role to conjure spirits and the shaman not being able to be in so many places at once, She/he designed a talisman, an object made mostly of materials from nature, to be worn or carried by the person at all times or during the times of most need. -
